How to Spin the Wheel 1-10

Spinning a 1 to 10 wheel is the simplest way to introduce excitement into short-sequence decisions. With exactly ten segments, each slice is broad and clearly readable from across a room or projected onto a classroom whiteboard.

  1. Spin: Click the center hub or press the Spin button to start the wheel.
  2. Watch the pointer: Watch the wheel decelerate smoothly until the pointer clicks into a single winning slice.
  3. Log or repeat: The winner automatically appears in a modal popup and logs in your Results drawer.

Classroom Math & Educational Games

Elementary and middle-school teachers frequently use a 1–10 number wheel for active learning exercises:

  • Multiplication drills: Spin the wheel twice; students multiply the two numbers as quickly as possible.
  • Addition & subtraction: Set a target sum (e.g., 10) and have students determine the complement of the drawn number.
  • Station rotations: Assign students to 10 numbered learning centers or reading groups at random.

Drawing 1 to 10 Without Repeats

Need to assign 10 students presentation slots or draw 10 raffle door prizes? Open Settings and activate Remove winner after spin. As each number from 1 to 10 lands, it is automatically removed from subsequent spins. The wheel re-slices into 9, 8, 7... segments with equal odds at every step until all 10 spots have been awarded.

Cryptographic Randomness & Privacy

Unlike simple JavaScript Math.random() generators that can exhibit cyclical bias, swheel uses the browser's native W3C Web Cryptography API (window.crypto.getRandomValues). Every number has an exact, provably fair 1-in-10 (10%) probability.

All calculations take place directly in your web browser. No student names, numbers, or drawing outcomes are ever transmitted to or stored on external servers.
